The element of space is a cool one - space to think, space between two people, space for ideas and inspiration to come, and space for food to digest.
We say in Ayurveda that you need 1/3 food, 1/3 water and 1/3 air to digest well. If you are not well lubricated you won't taste food. Taste is important to determine whether your body requires the qualities inherent in the food. If you can't taste, you will then be chained to the nutritional information on the side packet to tell you what you need. Air is needed to circulate the fire. If there is no fire (digestive enzymes) in the belly then the food will stagnate - hence toxins, hence fat, and other issues.
Overeating causes disease. Find out if you're tired and take a nap instead. Train your body to expect food at the same time. It will respond with a healthy appetite, and therefore an increase in digestive enzymes to break down the food, i.e. minimising toxins.
